WHAT DOES GOD OWE YOU?

Tract Number 80

 
          Since the creation, man has never been satisfied with his state of being. The rich keep getting richer, and the more man gets the more he wants. God continually blesses us more than we de­serve. He feeds us, clothes us, and supplies our needs. Yet we seem to say in ourselves, “is this all, God? Look at what I have done for you, don’t I de­serve more”? We are just like a child with a new toy, when the new wears off we want something else. Look what the Apostle Paul tells us in the Word of God, Philippians 4:11, "Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content."

 WHAT DO WE DESERVE?

      In actuality, if man got what he de­served he would be in HELL. Our very best efforts are not good enough for Heaven.  Isaiah 64:6, "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away."

      The Bible says we are nothing but sinners: Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"

     So you see, if we lived “the very best” everyday, we are still worthy of nothing. But I’m glad to tell you that God gave His very best, and there is hope for you.

WHAT DOES GOD OWE US?

    Absolutely NOTHING. But I’m glad the Bible says that He loves us. Romans 5:8, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

   So no matter how wicked you are or what you have done, Christ loves you and died for you that you might have eternal life.  John 10:10, "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

  The next time you begin to think you are something special, just remember what you have read.  As sorry as man is:

  GOD OWES US NOTHING, BUT HE GAVE US HIS ALL.

    Please call upon the Lord today while you, can, repent of your sin and give your heart and life to Jesus Christ.  He will save you.  John 3:36, "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him."
