Tract Number 26

  In this day in which we are living, we find that many people are looking for ways to get ahead or better themselves.  In our country, we find many States have left God to turn to deceitful methods to deceive and lure people by legalizing the Lottery.  They tell them that the money will go to education for the children.  This may soothe the conscience but it will not make it right.

      Remember when prayer and Bible reading was taken out of our schools?  In this day, our children cannot pray out loud in class or at many school functions.  This is another downfall of our Nation and a hurt to our children.  It seems it is more important to teach sex education, and pass out condoms in our school system than to teach them about the GOD of our forefathers.  This is truly another work of the Devil, just like the LOTTERY.

      Friends, there is only one thing that you can count on that will not fail you, and that is the LORD JESUS CHIRST.  He will never lie to you or deceive you.  You won’t have to wonder if you will win or lose.  You will always win with JESUS.

 John 14:6, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

Romans 10:13, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

      Do you know the Lord Jesus Christ as your Saviour?  Many people today purchase lottery tickets and gamble their earnings away.  Yet, millions are gambling their souls away each passing day.  Where will you spend eternity, in HEAVEN or in HELL?

 Matthew 16:26, "For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?"

      The Lottery produces many hardships upon the home.  Many let their children do without in order to spend money on Lottery tickets.  Playing the Lottery is as habit forming as drinking alcohol or taking dope.  It becomes a dominating factor in the lives of multitudes.  Many compulsive gamblers started out with a seemingly harmless lottery ticket to end up having a tormenting urge to gamble constantly.

      As any other sin, this habit can only be broken by the power of a resurrected Christ.  He alone can change you and take that habit completely away from you.  But JESUS CHIRST can only do this when you confess this sin unto Him.

      Many will say that they see no harm in this practice.  But just look at the facts and see the broken homes and the ruined lives that have been caused by the Lottery.

      Only a certain few win the lottery, but all that come to Christ win by receiving ETERNAL LIFE.  The ones who buy lottery tickets and never win are like the multitudes who turn their backs on JESUS and what He did on CALVARY for them and doom their souls into an eternity in Hell.

      If you do not know the Lord as your Saviour, would you bow your head and ask Jesus to save you right now?  Repent of your sin and ask the Lord to come into your heart to stay.  He is the only one who can make you a new creature.
