Tract Number 4

          God Himself instituted the HOME and performed the first marriage in the garden of Eden.

Genesis 2:23-24, "And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall  cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh."

     Jesus makes a statement about marriage:

 Mark 10:9, "What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder."

      God intended that the man and woman joined together in marriage remain married until they become separated in death.  To break the marriage vows that have been taken between each other and before God is a sin against a Holy God.  This must be repented of.  Today, half of all marriages end up in divorce.  This is sad.  God intends for man to have a happy family life, and the home was designed to do this.  Dear friends, our homes cannot be strong if we neglect the Word of God.  The Bible is the final authority on the home.  It is wrong for men and women to court sin by stepping outside the marriage vows.

 ADULTERY IS SIN

God makes a command in Exodus 20:14.

"Thou shalt not commit adultery."

      In this day, men trade wives and women trade husbands like they trade cars.  It seems that men just live from one affair to another.  God’s order for marriage is made out to be cheap today.  For this we will not be held innocent.

 Proverbs 6:32, "But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul."

 Mark 10:11-12, "And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.  And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery."

 Matthew 5:27-28, "Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:  But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart."

 Hebrews 13:4, "Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge."

     The sure cure for Adultery is for husbands and wives together to fall in love with the Lord Jesus Christ.  Jesus is the only hope for our homes in this world.  If you are not saved, just give your heart to the Lord right now and this will be the beginning of a good marriage.  The home cannot survive without a good foundation to build upon.

 1 Corinthians 3:11, "For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ."

 John 3:3, "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except  a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

 Proverbs 5:18, "Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth."

The only hope for our homes and our
 children today is the LORD JESUS CHRIST
