DON'T KID YOURSELF YOU WILL NOT GET BY

Tract Number 67

        Many are living their lives like God is asleep, on a vacation, or not aware of what is going on.

 Galatians 6:7-8, "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.  For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting."

         David, a man after God’s own heart, looked from his roof top on Bathsheba while she was bathing and lusted after her.  He later sent for her and committed adultery with her.  To cover his sin, he had her husband killed in battle.  He then took her for his own wife.  Years went by and David thought he had gotten by until the man of God showed up to see him one day.  God will not let you continue to go on in sin and get by.  The Devil is a liar and he will tell you that you can sin and never get caught.

         A man by the name of Achan was told not to touch the accursed thing when they went to battle.  But in the battle he saw a goodly Babylonish garment, a wedge of gold and shekels of silver.  He took them and hid them in his tent.  The man of God showed up and found him out.  He was stoned along with his family and rocks heaped upon him.  It does not pay to play with sin.  You will be found out.

         Ahab, the wicked king, thought he could get by with sin.  He had deceived and destroyed the people of God.  His wife, Jezebel, the wicked Queen devised many things against the things of God.  One day while in a battle, an arrow pierced Ahab and he died in his chariot.  The dogs licked up his blood as was prophesied by the Prophet.  Years went by and Jezebel was cast out of a window, run over by the horses, and her body, except her feet, her hands, and her skull, were eaten by dogs.  This too was prophesied by the Prophet.

         You may have lived it up for years.  You may have lived a life of sin but there will come a time when your sin will be found out.  You can’t do wrong and get by.  God is longsuffering.  He will give you a space to repent but there will be a time when He says that’s enough.  You can’t outrun the hand of God.  You can’t out smart or out figure God.  He holds the record of your life.  He knows your heart.  Do not deceive yourself.  God will have the final word. 

 Romans 10:13, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

 Luke 13:3, "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."
